In this Winter Prep Workshop, you will learn:
➔How, what and when to begin Fall feeding your bees. (getting the timing right it crucial)
➔ What equipment and resources are needed. (so you are not spending money on things that don't make a difference)
➔ Controlling mites and pests.
➔Insulation and moisture control.
➔Monitoring hives in Winter. (what to look for, what to do and when to act)
➔Winter feeds and feeding.
In one focused week, we cover everything your hive needs before the cold sets in.

The Workshop will be presented by Peter Cowin, the Bee Whisperer, and Amy Nickerson, the Queen Bee.
Between us, we have decades of beekeeping experience, and have trained thousands of beekeepers. Peter has a beekeeping supply shop as well as maintaining numerous hives in his apiary, and is the founder and former President of Penobscot County Beekeepers Association. Amy is on the Maine State Swarm Team and is a former President of Penobscot County Beekeepers Association.
Our workshop will teach you our methods for successfully overwintering honeybee hives.

Here is a breakdown of what you will get in the Winter Preparation Workshop.
The entire Workshop will take place in a private Facebook group.
Day 1 - Monday September 14th. The first pre recorded class video will be posted in the morning on the private Facebook group page. We will be talking about mite issues and treatments, honey and feeding and much more!
The video can be viewed at anytime during the workshop. Post any questions you may have in the comments below the video.
Day 2 - Tuesday September 15th. The second pre recorded class video will be posted in the private Facebook group. We will be talking about robbing issues, pest proofing, moisture, insulation and much more!

Day 3 - Wednesday September 16th. This will be the first LIVE session which will begin at 7pm EST in the Facebook group. We will be interacting with participants, talking bees and answering questions. The session will be recorded and available to view anytime during the workshop.
Day 4 - Thursday September 17th. Use this day to rewatch videos and ask questions. We may even post some bonus materials.
Day 5 - Friday September 18th. This will be our second and final LIVE session beginning at 7pm EST. We will be answering your final questions and making sure you go into Winter feeling prepared, not caught off guard.
All sessions, materials, and videos will be available for you to view and re-watch at your leisure until Monday September 21st.
